I wasn't sure whether to post this, but it was kind of funny.  When I use the word "origami" below, I'm not actually talking about origami classes.  I'll have to leave it to you to decide actually what class this woman was asking us about.  Oh, and her name wasn't Trish.

The e-mail thread went like this:

Customer:  "Hi, can you tell me when your next [origami] class is scheduled?  Trish."

NYED Event Manager (Alice), forwarding it to me:  "Hey, can you answer this?  Hilarious.  Oh, and let me know when we're running these classes, so I can dress appropriately."

Me to Customer:  "Hi Trish, actually, I think you're mistaking us for another company.  We don't offer [origami] classes.  We run speed-dating events.  Perhaps if you google '[origami] classes nyc', you'll find what you need.  Good luck!"

Customer:  "No, I'm not mistaken at all - I just need to know when the next one is, and how much.  Can I speak to someone who knows more about your events?"

Me:  "Hi Trish, I do the scheduling, and I'd certainly know if I scheduled an event like that!  I promise that if we do schedule it, you'll be the first to know."

Customer:  "OK thanks, please put me down now for the event when you schedule it.  Looking forward to it.  Should I bring my own banana?"
