The singles event last night was a great success, if perhaps a little cramped. We told Honey that we would expect 60-70 singles, however, we ended up with 150.It was a fun night, however, we know we can do better next time. We'll be looking for a more spacious venue so that we don't have to feel antsy if the numbers climb over 100, which they probably will. Tonight we are running our first singles event that isn't a speed-dating event!We currently have more than 100 people registered, and given the "last-minute" nature of New Yorkers, there are bound to be more registering this afternoon. One of the most common questions we're asked is "Can I find out who picked me?"This comes after a couple of days after a speed-dating event. A person (let's say Sarah) picks three men. On October 11th, we're having our annual speed-dating event to raise money for charity. All registration fees will be donated to the Robin Hood Foundation, an organization that combats poverty in NYC.

As well as speed-dating for a good cause, this is a great opportunity to meet other philanthropically-minded NYC singles who either work in not-for-profit professions, or who give time or money to help others
