Welcome to the New York EasyDates blog!  We intend this to be a regularly-updated collection of items relating to New York city speed-dating, and the New York singles scene.  We welcome submissions from customers or visitors to our site, particularly funny dating stories, anecdotes from speed-dating events, or interesting observations you may have about the unique and fascinating scene that is NYC dating.

To kick things off, we want to introduce you to the two owners of the business.

Daniel - shortish, bald except for greyish hair sporadically scattered towards the back of the scalp.  Has a slight dent on the front of the head from skiing into a tree.  Speaks with a New Zealand accent (though to his family back home, he sounds like he's trying too hard to fake an American accent) - this kiwi accent, combined with the fact he speaks too fast, quickly ended his hosting career.  No one had a clue what he was saying.

Daniel works at Deutsche Bank, though often spends his working day planning the next speed-dating event.  He also plays soccer and competes in adventure races, despite (at age 38) having the knees of a 65 year old.

Jennifer - claims to be taller than Daniel, but that is only with high heels.  Brunette, looks like Tina Fey from 30 Rock (complete with lettuce in the hair), and has much the same opinion of Sarah Palin.  Jennifer was the true founder of New York EasyDates, as she made the now famous (between the two of us) statement "I wish I could line up the guys and pick the ones I want".

Jen works for Planned Parenthood as a lawyer, having given up corporate law to be involved in something that was less about money and more about public good.  Daniel now runs NYED on a day to day basis, with Jen only being involved if she disagrees with something, and then Daniel better damn well change what he was doing and do it her way instead.

The two of us have been running New York EasyDates speed dating for six years.  We're very available, and happy to answer personally any questions you may have.
