We've found a couple of blogs that we enjoy reading - Vicky and Kait have both attended speed-dating in NYC with us, and are very funny and talented writers. Vicky's blog is all things dating (www.bestdatesnow.com), and gives some good advice on getting discounted spots to our events (Grr!). I just read about an interesting scientific experiment. In this study, at selected NYC speed-dating events, the men would move from table to table when the bell goes. At others, the women would rotate. This study claims that when women do the rotating, then they pick more people, and as men often make a lot of selections (whether they are rotating or not), then this resulted in more matches. Last week we asked for funny speed dating stories. Well this is one from the early days of our businessI was hosting my first speed dating event, and it was only the third our company had ever run.
